Dovecote Kennels ,Cattery and Grooming parlour is situated in a rural location between Donaghcloney and Waringstown.
We are a family business and have been established since 1988.
We are approved and licenced by DAERA (Department of Agriculture) meeting the strict regulations set and in relation to operating Kennels and Catteries.
Our aim is to make your pets’ stay as stress free as possible offering them a ‘Home from Home experience’
Kennels
We offer purpose built, fully tiled small, medium and large kennels. All dogs have access to their own outside, individual runs. This means they can avail of fresh air with access to toilet at all times. We do not mix dogs unless they live together in their own home. Your dog has water at all times. The pickers food is not refreshed or taken away until the next morning. This means they have food at all times. We take instruction on yours pets eating habits when being kenneled. We administer medication only if it is feasible to do so and we are happy the dog is relaxed enough to receive its medication from us. We do not wish to stress you dog while in our care. Each kennel house has heating during the winter months.
There are three play areas where your dog/dogs are exercised with one of our staff. The dogs thoroughly enjoy this interaction and we get to know them better. We do not walk dogs outside the premises as they get sufficient exercise in our play areas. We feel this keeps your much loved pet happy and safe.

Cattery
The cattery is compiled of three areas. Two are indoor and centrally heated for all year round use.
The third area is designed for summer use, secure, roofed and airy, so that your much loved cat can enjoy every aspect of a summer’s day. The ramp up to the higher level for bed is also a scratch pad.
Cuddles are very much the order of the day but only if your cat enjoys this. Some may prefer to be left alone and that is absolutely fine.
We administer medication to your cat but only if they are happy for us to do so. We do not want to stress your cat in any way while in our care.

Grooming Parlour
The Grooming Parlour is a new addition to our establishment. We are proud to offer this service to our customers and outside clients. Our modern grooming parlour offers a fresh,clean and friendly atmosphere that is sure to make your dog feel relaxed and enjoy their pampering. Please book to have your dog groomed on booking the kennels. We are well established now and so there is very little room to slot in at the last minute. We certainly don’t want to disappoint.
